Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information D&DD Technologies (DYDD Technologies, known online as dyddtech) collects when you visit dyddtech.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It covers our website, our AI assistant, and our consultation request service.
Who We Are
D&DD Technologies is a software development company headquartered at 18 calle 24-69 Zona 10, Centro Empresarial Zona Pradera, Guatemala City, Guatemala. We provide AI solutions, cloud migration, and custom software development services. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@dyddtech.com or +502 2301 0802.
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly and information gathered automatically while you browse. When you request a consultation, we collect your name, company name, website URL, and email address, together with the language you choose for your report. When you use our AI assistant, we collect the messages you send so the assistant can answer you and keep the context of your conversation. Automatically, and only after you accept our privacy terms, we collect your browser type, version, and language preferences; your device type, screen resolution, and hardware capabilities; your timezone and approximate geographic region; and session information such as page views, events, and visit patterns. If you browse without accepting data collection, we do not build an analytics profile of your visit.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage entries. A NEXT_LOCALE cookie (kept for up to one year) and a preferredLocale entry in your browser's local storage remember the language you selected. Additional local storage entries record your consent choice and session information so we do not have to ask for consent on every visit. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Clearing your browser's cookies and site data removes these entries at any time.
Website Analytics
We measure how the site is used with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own infrastructure. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and never tracks you across other websites. Your IP address is used only in passing, to derive a salted hash that tells one visit apart from another; the address itself is never stored. The resulting aggregate statistics — page views, referrers, country, browser, and device type — live in our own database on AWS (us-east-2, United States) and are never shared with, sold to, or processed by any third-party analytics provider. Because no cookies and no personal identifiers are involved, this measurement needs no consent banner.
Newsletter and Email Updates
If you subscribe to our newsletter, the legal basis for processing is your consent. We use double opt-in: after you submit your address we send you a confirmation email, and nothing else is ever sent until you click the link inside it. Unconfirmed addresses are discarded. We store only your email address, the language you subscribed in, and the source of the subscription, so we can send you content in the right language. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and your removal is confirmed at /subscribe/unsubscribed/. Delivery is handled by Amazon SES, which processes your address solely to deliver our messages on our behalf. You can withdraw your consent at any time, with no effect on messages already sent.
Blog Likes
When you like an article, we do not store your IP address. We combine your IP address and the article identifier with a secret salt and store only the resulting one-way hash. That value cannot be reversed back into an IP address and is not linked to any account, cookie, or profile — its only purpose is to keep the same visitor from being counted twice on the same article. It does not identify anyone and is never used for any other purpose.
AI Assistant Chat
Messages you send to our AI assistant are forwarded to our AI model providers — Microsoft Azure OpenAI and xAI — which generate the reply and return it to us. These providers process your messages only to produce that response; your conversations are not used to train AI models, neither by them nor by us. Please do not share passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal data in the chat.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to personalize your experience and provide relevant recommendations; to improve our AI assistant's responses so it can help you better; to analyze usage patterns and enhance our services; to generate the preliminary AI analysis report you request through the consultation form and send it to the email address you provide; and to follow up on your inquiries when you give us contact information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we only contact you about your own inquiry or consultation request.
Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored securely in cookies and on our servers. We retain this information for up to 12 months or until you request deletion. Consultation details are kept for as long as needed to prepare your report and follow up on your inquiry, within the same retention limit. If you reject or withdraw consent, automatic collection stops and only the technical entries needed to remember that choice are kept.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to rectify it if it is inaccurate, and ask us to erase it. You may also withdraw your consent and stop data collection, and receive your data in a portable format. You can withdraw or change your consent from the Privacy Settings control available on the site, unsubscribe from our newsletter through the link in any email, or exercise any of these rights by writing to info@dyddtech.com. We will respond to verified requests without undue delay.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Your data is processed by D&DD Technologies to deliver the services described in this policy. Links on our site to external services such as Google Maps, Waze, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X, and GitHub take you to those providers, whose own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes to what we collect or how we use it will be reflected in the consent dialog before they take effect.
